Access Road
The Commissioners now own the land where the new access road to the facility will be built.
The land was sold to them by DHSC for a nominal sum of £250.
Investigations and some preparatory work had been undertaken in May, but the final details are being put to the design plans.
The cost of the project is likely to be in the region of £220,000, but this cost had been anticipated prior to setting the rates for 24/25 and was included in this years budget.
The scheme should not lead to a further increase in the rates for next year.
Cafe
Whilst the Commissioners are operating the Café themselves on a limited menu, negotiations are well advanced with a company who hopes to take on the business in the near future. Further details will be provided when a final agreement has been made.
In the meantime, our café service operates 7 days per week, to compliment the sports hall & soft play. Opening hours are 8.30 – 18.30pm every day.
