Commissioner Mission Statement

Neal Mellon

This mission statement reflects the Commissioner’s personal priorities, values, and approach to serving the Braddan community. It provides an overview of the principles that guide their decision-making and their aspirations for the parish during their term of office.

“My strengths, skills and motivation are based on many years of voluntary service to the communities I have lived and worked on.

My career has been in Critical Care Nursing and Health Care Management. My Masters degree in healthcare ethics helps me focus on problem-solving challenges based on fairness, justice and truth.

I am proud to be a resident of Braddan and the Isle of Man and have contributed to the island in several roles over the last 25 years including:

  • County Nurse and Commissioner St John Ambulance
  • TT Marshall
  • Civil Defence
  • Co-founder Isle of Man Foodbank
  • Braddan Parish Commissioner

I could be considered as resilient since I have experienced most of the challenges life can throw at you.

I look forward to serving our Parish effectively and efficiently in the coming year and to continue building a welcoming, supportive, sustainable and resilience in our fantastic Braddan community.”
