
Braddan Parish Commissioners was delighted to be invited to be part of the Isle of Man Housing Agency visit from the British-Irish Council Housing Work Sector Group on Thursday 18 June.
The topic of discussion, presentations and visits was the retrofit of affordable housing. With officers attending from the Government of Ireland, Northern Ireland Executive, Scottish Government, UK Government, Welsh Government and Government of Guernsey (with Government of Jersey online), it was a fantastic shared learning experience also involving Environment, Building Control and Project Management Unit colleagues from the Isle of Man.
Braddan Parish Commissioners also hosted a project visit to the ongoing retrofit project on Coronation and Jubilee Terraces, supported by the project architects McGarrigle Ayre Architects and project contractors J Clawson Limited, along with a presentation and question & answer session on the project.
