Quines Hill, Old Castletown Road, Braddan – Road Closure
The Department of Infrastructure is to rebuild a short section of carriageway that has failed in the vicinity of the traffic calming buildouts at the top of Quines Hill, Braddan. The road surface at this location has become sunken and is in poor condition. The carriageway will be excavated, the reason for the collapsed surface confirmed and dealt with. The carriageway will then reconstructed and resurfaced.
The road is to be closed to through traffic between the junction with Oatlands Road and the junction with the southern leg of Marine Drive from today, Monday 15 April until no later than Friday 3 May.
Access for Residents
Access to residential properties within the closure will be available at all times with access from one side of the works or the other.
Diversion Route
There will be a signed diversion route directing through traffic
* from the south via Oatlands Road onto the New Castletown
*from the north via Kewaigue Hill, Fort North roundabout and New Castletown Road.
